Law of Attraction -Haiku

the grief you inflict
will be like the grief you get
with accrued interest

always treat others
as you want to be treated
never how you were

be quick to forgive
holding bitterness and hate
only poisons you

Misanthrope

"A poker-faced shrimp
called for the death of thousands
put in halls of shame"

I address you
no holds barred, for it seems
that those who should call your bluff
are running scared of your pudding-face
the same expression used by chess players
to cow their opponents (yes, Boris)

you are a bloodthirsty monster
you attacked non-combatant civilians, including children
you claimed that you were defending against Nazis
and genocidal crimes
but you are the fascist on display

if there was a perceived threat against you
it wasn't from the children whose blood
is carmine your hands

Lies -Haiku

          they wanted to pass
          the snake nodded approval
          lightning stung the leg

Unbolted -Haiku

       spring's golden aspect
gilds the sun-drenched sky and land
       removing storm doors

Circles -Haiku

     life is a circle
the stone thrown into the pond
     ripples all around

Water Therapy -Haiku

       running a hot bath
        easing the body down ah-hh
         let loose of the noose

Math -Haiku

       a hazy summer
       butterflies probe pink flowers
       two wings become four

The Bold -Haiku

         A freeze turns trees gray
         killing fields of winter ice
         the bold snowdrops rise
