the gnarled wood sprite on a willow bough
neath the fiery opal moon
its lunar siesta shut-eye broom
a thick rustling leafy brow

elves wading in the river's wake
slide waterharp burbling sweeps
the sprite hears music in nodding sleep
the lunar mist dreamscape

snoozing purples swirling round the head
fairies fiddle crickets with alto booming frogs
and the fugue-like baying of the wolven dogs
all this electricity while going to bed
