The Yes of Eyes

12 Mar
the view of
a pair of eyes
rising cornstalks
the green field
straw dry ears
the nose of stone
the rotten stump swarming with ants.

by the yes or no
seeds
the grain
busts out the sprout,
roots,
finger stems reach
the winking sun
days, nights

the wide maple tree
rung the centuries
then
the booming storm,
the piecing flash
the rotten core
termites chew
dropping

fertilizer greening
a moss chair
the seated anthropoid
eyes

the creator's yes & no
created, destroyed, recreated
again
