Licks skin off a carcass bellows a roar. Impaling claws raking vibrating gore, Opens the jugular, then blood will pour. Nerve to fight when the hyena wants more Hunts stealthily, hypnotic as a cat, Eats like a werewolf without getting fat. Authentic in heart this chief of all beasts, Royally ravenous; loves a blood feast. Taming is callous; it should be released. Extinction endangers this sage feline, Damned to a zoo by selfish humankind.
