Blinking Red Light

11 Apr
bargains in the night
yet no treaty
the light of the end
buried in death's glow
it's not if we would just
adjust maybe it'll go

not greenish or ghoulish
as the masked Apollyon
with its socket-eyed show
fear of protracted and painful foolish(?)
can we handle the slow(?)

the Dutchman is seen
blinking red lamps on the right
am I in its cross-hairs(?)
or is it
a comforting light(?)
when it wings by to dispatch us off
will we feel robbed or rescued(?)
of course
this depends on the set of your viewpoint
when your life ends
