21 Dec

hearts withered die from lack of care,
without sun rays, or moist, dark earth,
and hate their life that wasn’t fair.
hardened soil they won’t prepare,
mean stones and roots were not unearthed,
hearts withered die from lack of care.

blindly demanding their fair share,
but never know how much they’re worth,
hate their life that isn’t fair.
wrinkled up from self-despair
choke the seeds of their rebirth,
hearts withered die from lack of care,
and hate this life that isn’t fair.

but if their hearts they would repair
a bursting sprout would bloom & flair
root out those hating pests, unearth
they’d wake up from the deadening dearth
to manifest how much they’re worth
Hearts withered die from lack of care
but learn to love by what they share
